Real Friends

Tuesday, October 24th, 2006

Remember how I was talking about moving the studio into my house and whatnot? Well let me tell you a little something. I should have hired some friends to help me out. Now I don’t mean I should have paid my existing friends to help me although that may have made them help a little. No … I mean I should have hired someone to move this stuff with me. Or for me .. whatever the case would have been. I would have helped them whether they wanted me to or not. It’s my stuff!

So I am getting everything ready for moving and wrapping up the fragile stuff and the speakers so they don’t get poked or anything like that and these “friends” of mine are sitting on their asses doing nothing. I asked for help, they offered help, and I got no help. WTF

So an end to a nightmare of moving heavy equipment to the house was that I had to do everything myself. I don’t mind that so much because they would have probably broken half the stuff anyway … damn jackasses.

Next time I will hire a moving company to help me out. I don’t mind the moving if it is done right and can be done in a timely fashion but this little venture cost me more than a few hours of time and could have been lessened with a little help from so called “friends”!

I Got a Cam Corder

Tuesday, October 24th, 2006

WOOT! I got me a cam corder … not just any cam corder either. I received a really nice camera from the parents this year. It’s a Panasonic 3.1 Mega Pixel DV Recorder. It’s not quite that one but it’s close. I couldn’t find the exact one, I guess it’s too new. I don’t know. But with the baby coming and the studio now in full swing this little baby will come in handy.

I have already blasted through like 10 tapes this week just shooting whatever is in front of me. I need to get a few backup batteries for the damn thing. It eats batteries like a starving thing.

I have an old tripod that I used with my last cam corder that is a little rickety but serves it’s purpose well. This tripod is one of the first ones made, I think, probably was Jesus’ tripod handed down. I have plenty to look forward to doing now with having the camera and the tripod. Now I can shoot myself giving interviews out in the open .. oh yeah! AND the cam corder has a remote control so I can adjust the focus with a click of a button. This this is the bomb. I can’t wait to get all the footage on the computer and start editing it into something cool.

Thanks to great parents like Nina and Nino we have everything we need for the coming baby.

Happy Birthday Me

Sunday, October 8th, 2006

I stayed up just to do this. I wanted to post on here for my birthday since I can .. HA! It’s late and I don’t have to work tomorrow so I stayed up extra late just to do this post. It’s my birthday post. I would have done it a little earlier like right at 12 but I was drinking and watching a movie with my babe to stay awake.

Now that I have started posting I am wide awake. I love this blogging thing. I have so much fun just typing and getting things off my chest. Blogging has become a great outlet for me and helps calm this savage beast. Not really, I’m not really a ball of stress anymore.

Happy Birthday to ME … Happy Birthday to Me … Happy Birthday dear MEEEEEEEeeeee, Happy Birthday to ME! How old am I now? Hmmmm .. I am celebrating my 12th anniversary of my 21st birthday. Got it?
